| Cephalodiscus lutetianus is the only known fossil species of the recent genus Cephalodiscus M'Intosh, 1882. This form was described in 1950 from the Eocene of France. It was preserved in form of silicified tubes (up to 9 cm in length and 2.5 mm in diameter). This species is known only from the type locality. |
